Natural England - Coastal Access is changing

Coastal Access is changing

Natural England is working to create the England Coast Path – a new National Trail around all of England’s open coast.

Latest news – February 2013

12 February 2013 - The period for making formal representations and objections about our reports for improved access to the Cumbria coast between Allonby to Whitehaven; and the North East coast between North Gare and South Bents closed at 5pm on Monday 11 February 2013.

The representations and objections that were received will now be considered carefully by the Secretary of State before he makes a decision about our report.

15 January 2013 - Public consultation on our Draft Proposals for improved access on the Sea Palling to Weybourne stretch of coast closed at 5pm on Friday 11 January. Next steps.
