Natural England - NNR education packs

NNR education packs

Natural England have produced environmental education packs for Stodmarsh, Wye and Ham Street National Nature Reserves (NNRs). They offer a practical experience of the curriculum to pupils at Key Stage 2 (activities can be adapted for those at Key Stage 1) and they aim to help children increase their appreciation of wildlife.

The education packs are designed for teachers in the area local to the reserves. Using the pack as a guide, teachers can take pupils out to the NNRs. The packs also contain activities that can be carried out before and after a visit.

The pack is available for free in an A4 binder (with a CD included) to any schools wishing to visit. If you would like a hard-copy of the pack, would like to make an enquiry, or would like to notify Natural England that you will be undertaking a school visit to a reserve please email: wildside@naturalengland.org.uk

The files available for download from this page contain full PDFs of the education packs and the support materials for the printed education pack. The contents of the education packs and the files available for download from Natural England’s website are copyright of Natural England, and should not be uploaded to the internet or reproduced for purposes other than those for which they are intended, without prior permission.

Please also read the hazard identification information sheet before a visit as they will help teachers/group leaders to prepare a risk assessments for their group visits.
