Each Millets store has a window display featuring Natural England/Walking for Health branding and will carry a range of promotional materials in store, including a flyer outlining the scheme and an information card containing national contact on one side and regionally-specific details on the other. The promotion will be visible in store for the first two weeks of March.

Rowena Tassell, Healthy Lifestyles Development Officer for Cheltenham Borough Council, said "It is fantastic to see these partnerships being developed as we are always looking for new ways to promote walking as an opportunity to get more people active in the natural environment. We hope as a result, that it will help people to find out what is going on for them in Cheltenham for walking and get them involved in our health walks programme - as a walker or even a leader"

Russell Bullivant, store manager for Millets Cheltenham, commented "it's good to see two organisations with similar objectives working together."

Steve Roberts, Senior Publications and Events Adviser for Walking for Health, said "The High Street presence this partnership offers us will provide access to those we would otherwise find it difficult to reach regarding the possibility of becoming volunteer walk leaders. This will help contribute to our target of quadrupling the number of walkers taking part in our health walks by 2012. We are happy to have in Millets a partner equally committed to helping improve the health of people within their own community."
