The East Midlands Woodland Opportunity Guidance

The Woodland Opportunity report was informed by the East Midlands Regional Landscape Character Assessment (EMRLCA).

It puts in place guidance to help deliver the Regional Forestry Framework targets, provides a broad strategic direction of travel for woodland planting in the Region and has potential to be use to inform woodland grants and stewardship schemes.

The report maps the broad woodland strategy for each Regional Landscape Character Type, indicating which types should have high, medium and low woodland and tree planting priorities and the broad woodland management strategy for each regional character type.

The Woodland Opportunity Report has been divided into a set of PDF documents that correspond with each of the main sections of the report and the accompanying Figures.
